Who I am

NKD by Design is a solo project run by James Di Janni. This policy explains what information I collect about you, how I use it, and what choices you have.

What information I collect

When you interact with NKD by Design, I may collect:

• Email address and name (when you subscribe, comment, or contact me).

• Payment‑related information (processed securely by Stripe or Substack, not stored by me directly).

• Basic usage data, like which emails you open or links you click, and general analytics (device type, approximate location, etc.).

How I use your information

I use this information to:

• Send you emails and content you signed up for.

• Manage subscriptions, pledges, and payments.

• Understand what content is working so I can improve NKD by Design.

• Respond when you contact me.

I do not sell your personal data.

Who I share information with

I share data only with service providers I use to run NKD by Design, such as:

• Substack (for hosting, email delivery, and subscriber management).​

• Stripe (for payment processing).​

• Analytics or email tools I may add later to understand performance.

These services have their own privacy policies and only use your data to provide their services to me.

Legal bases (if you’re in the EU/UK)

Where applicable, I rely on:

• Legitimate interests (running and improving NKD by Design).

Email choices and unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe from NKD by Design emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email.
If you unsubscribe, you will stop receiving emails, but I may keep minimal records needed for legal, tax, or accounting reasons.

Data retention

I keep your information for as long as you are subscribed or as needed to run NKD by Design and meet legal or accounting requirements.
If you ask me to delete your information, I will do so where the law allows and where it doesn’t conflict with required records.

• Correct or update your information.

• Ask me to delete your information (where legally possible).
