Terms of Service – NKD by Design

1. Who I am

NKD by Design is a solo project run by James Di Janni. These Terms explain the rules for using NKD by Design content, subscriptions, and pledges.

By subscribing, pledging, or accessing NKD by Design, you agree to these Terms.

2. What you’re getting

NKD by Design provides written content, emails, and other materials focused on questioning social conditioning, body acceptance, and unlearning inherited beliefs.
Content may change over time as the project evolves.

3. Payments, subscriptions, and pledges

Some parts of NKD by Design are free; others require paid subscriptions or one‑time pledges.
Payments are processed by third‑party providers like Substack and Stripe, and you agree to their terms when you pay through them.

If you choose a recurring subscription, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel through the platform (for example, by managing your subscription in Substack or through the link in your emails).​

4. Refunds

Because payment processors keep their fees even when a creator issues a refund, all payments to NKD by Design (subscriptions and pledges) are generally non‑refundable.

Exceptions are at my sole discretion, for example in cases of:

• Duplicate charges

• Clear technical billing errors

“Changed my mind,” “didn’t read it,” or similar reasons do not qualify for refunds.

If I do issue a refund, it may be partial to cover processing and platform fees.

5. Your responsibilities

When you use NKD by Design, you agree to:

• Use the content for personal, non‑commercial purposes only.

• Not copy, republish, or resell the content without my explicit permission.

• Not harass, threaten, or abuse me or other readers in comments or messages.

I reserve the right to remove comments, block access, or end a subscription if someone behaves abusively.

6. No professional advice

NKD by Design is about ideas, reflection, and conversation. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.​
You are responsible for your own choices and actions.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, NKD by Design and James Di Janni are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that arise from using or not being able to use the content or services.​

If a court ever decides I am liable for something, that liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 3 months before the issue.

8. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time.
If I make significant changes, I’ll update the “Last updated” date and may mention it in a post or email. Your continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.​
